Men’s Health Month: Men Need a Skin-care Routine, Too!

Skin-care is an important effort to increase health and happiness for all genders. Research shows men who keep up with their hygiene are likely to feel more attractive, which can help with dating, career and general confidence.

Having a daily skin-care routine can help other routines, too. Shaving a clean face can reduce the chances of redness and ingrown hairs. The likeliness of breakouts, blackheads, and oily or dry areas are reduced because of the removal of dirt from the pores.

A good practice is to add exfoliation to your shaving routine. Exfoliating removes excess dirt and oil from your pores, making it easier to get a smooth shave. Try to use a shaving cream or gel that contains moisturizing ingredients. Washing your face at night is also encouraged to keep the oil from sitting in the pores over night.

Add a simple routine to your regimen and you’ll be sure to look and feel clean and refreshed. Call (865)690-9467 or visit knoxderm.com to book an appointment with a dermatologist.
