Appointment Information

When possible, all patients will be seen by appointment. We try our best to stay on schedule, but occasionally an emergency or a patient with a complex problem may cause delays.  When this occurs, we request your patience and understanding, but if you are unable to wait we will be happy to reschedule your appointment at a more convenient time.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time in case new paperwork or file updates are required.

Emergencies

Our physicians make every effort to see emergency patients as soon as possible. Our answering service can be reached after business hours by calling the office phone number.

Cancellations

We understand that it may be necessary to cancel or reschedule your appointment occasionally.  Please cancel at least 24 hours in advance to allow us to better serve all of our patients.  If you are running late, please call to inquire if we are still able to honor your appointment time or will need to reschedule your appointment.

Insurance & Payment Information

We will assist you in filing your insurance by providing two copies of the necessary medical information and charges before leaving the office. Our form contains sufficient information to submit for benefit payments from all insurance companies. Regardless of insurance benefits available, the patient remains financially responsible or outstanding balances. Accounts without payment activity after ninety days will be considered delinquent.

Please feel free to discuss fees with your physician.

Managed Care Plans

We participate in several Managed Care Plans and will file claims for you. However, it is the patient’s responsibility to ensure that we have the most current insurance information available.  If your insurance requires a physician referral, please make sure the referral is called in ahead of time.

Regardless of insurance benefits available, the patient remains financially responsible for all unpaid balances.  Accounts without payment activity after ninety days will be considered delinquent.

Medicare

We accept Medicare assignment and will be happy to file any supplementary insurance as long as the patient provides us with the necessary information.

Fees

Payment is expected at time of service including co-pays and/or deductibles.   You may request a copy of your charges we will send it via U.S. mail as soon as possible.  If you have a billing question or concern regarding your account, please call our business office.

Laboratory Testing

Certain procedures require the services of a pathologist. Patients will billed separately for lab fees.

Diagnoses & Prescriptions

We do not make diagnoses by telephone, but questions regarding treatment or medication may be directed to the office staff during regular office hours.  If we have not seen you for one year or more, we must reconfirm diagnoses before approving prescription refills. Routine prescription refills cannot be completed on weekends.

On-Site Prescription Service

Ask about having your prescription filled before you leave our office.  Many prescriptions can be filled before you leave our office.
